Gospel & Identity

My identity is not something I earn

Why I begin with what Jesus has finished, not with what I can achieve.

The starting point

I am a son of God. That is how I understand who I am, before a business title or an achievement. My confidence is in Jesus Christ and what He accomplished through His death, burial and resurrection. I do not believe my identity in Him is something I have to build through performance.

Grace before effort

I believe the gospel begins with what Jesus has done for us. The life I have in Christ is received by grace. Serving people, teaching and building businesses are responses to that life. They are not ways to earn it. Remembering this changes the place I work from.

What I want to share

I believe I am here to make Jesus known and help people understand who they are in Him. I want that conversation to stay close to Scripture and the finished work of Christ. It is not about giving people another standard to measure themselves against. It is about pointing them to Jesus.

The work follows

The businesses, workspaces, ideas and resources I build matter to me. But none of them is the source of my identity. I want to steward them in service of people and God’s kingdom. That is the purpose I keep returning to as the work grows and changes.

My faith in Jesus Christ shapes what I teach, build and write.
